Sumathi..

Yesterday while coming back from lunch we were discussing about shataka in telugu. For those who doesn't understand shataka.. It means 100. They are totally 100 poems written around a unified theme. The following is one of the poems from sumati shataka.

eppaTikeyyadi prastuta
mappaTikaa maaTalaaDi anyula manamul
noppimpaka taanovvaka
tappinchuku tirugu vaaDu dhanyuDu sumatI!

ps: It is in Telgish. Now, could somebody with good command on English can crisply translate it for me.. pleaaase.. :)

update: A failed attempt for a crisp translation.. :(

Yeah.. I would love to..being a fan of ancient language and literature; but do not know the meaning to translate;
a short note - it is quite construable to translate poems of the kind as many times, the information or meaning or conciseness is lost upon translation...isn't it..
PS: previleged to be the first commentator on this

Communicating sweetly, at all times aptly,
While being friendly, Never Speaking Harshly,
Making things lively, while doing them rightly,
One with this expertise, Escapes easily.....!!

That's neat.. !! Doesn't map to the literal meaning but works beautifully.

Thank you.
